It's a warm and humid Saturday in Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio. We stayed dry throughout the day but that is unlikely to be the case over the next few days…

At dawn Sunday we track a line of storms to the northwest with a chance of light rain/storms. It's still possible for these storms to gather into our area, so if you head out early in the morning, keep an eye on your radar. Overall, confidence in the storm developing is quite low, with temperatures set to start the day in the mid-70s.

A chance of light rain/storms early Sunday with temperatures around 70° at dawn.

Rain/storm chances are slightly better during the day Sunday. As confidence in storm timing, development and intensity remains low, we may see multiple rounds of storms throughout the day, or we may see just one storm. Stay tuned for updates, but for now it looks like the better chance will come on Sunday afternoon. Some storms may become stronger, with damaging winds being a major concern. High temperatures will reach over 80 degrees and the humidity will be very uncomfortable. When you're out and about, take it easy.

Scattered storms are possible later in the morning.
There is a better chance of storms in the afternoon.
The high temperature reaches over 80 degrees.

More storms are possible Sunday night into Sunday night, with low temperatures only dropping into the 70s.

More storms are possible Sunday night into late night.
Monday will start on a warm note.

The weather was hot and very humid on Monday and Tuesday, with the heat index being “sultry” on both days. The best chance for thunderstorms will come through the week ahead Monday night into Tuesday night as a cold front moves through. Highs will drop from the low 90s Monday to the low 80s Wednesday, with muggy heat gauges also dropping. By Thursday we will be dry and comfortable with temperatures in the lower 70s Fahrenheit average! We will wait and see!

We started the week very muggy.

Overall, this is a tricky forecast for the likelihood of thunderstorms in the near future, so keep an eye on your radar and check for updates. Download our WNE Weather App and keep an eye on what's happening on radar across the Northwest, as how the storms evolve there will impact our local conditions as they move southeast.
