The following is the Sunday evening weather forecast for July 14, 2024 from the Minnesota Weather Service and Meteorologist Matt Serwe.
Warm and humid weather continues Sunday night into Monday. Another round of storms will hit western Minnesota later tonight and move eastward into Monday morning. These storms may bring strong winds and hail. The window for these storms in the Twin Cities is from the morning commute into the early afternoon. Storms will only last an hour or two during this time, but it's unclear when these storms form before sunrise. Chief Meteorologist Ken Barlow will have that information in his Monday morning forecast.
After Monday, the rest of the week will be much quieter and less humid. A cold front could bring showers or storms to northern Minnesota Tuesday afternoon. Beyond that, a spell of dry weather is likely over the coming weekend. Temperatures in mid-July will be cooler than you expect. High temperatures this week will range from the upper 70s to lower 80s.
