INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Marion County will have a severe thunderstorm advisory to the north and west until 5 a.m. This will be one of several rounds of storms to watch in this forecast.
Today: Showers and storms are possible this morning. The line will exit the status quo completely by mid-morning and is expected to weaken. The weather will be mostly sunny today, with a high chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Temperatures are in the low 90s and the heat index is approaching triple digits.
Tonight: Another storm is possible during the evening into overnight hours. The risk is mild (2/5) in the northern half of the state and enhanced (3/5) in northwest Indiana. Damaging winds will once again be a major problem. Low temperatures in the mid 70s.
Tuesday: Scattered showers and storms are expected. There is a marginal (1/5) risk. Temperatures were in the high 80s.
7-day forecast: Continued showers and storms are likely to continue into Wednesday morning. However, we will start to feel the effects of the cold front as the humidity drops throughout Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be sunny with temperatures in the mid-70s, ideal weather.
