There is no respite from the high temperature, and the temperature will exceed 40℃ again this week

On Monday and Tuesday this week, the National Meteorological Service (Aemet) of the Region of Murcia has issued more hot weather warnings.

Although the temperature dropped slightly Wednesdayit will get hotter again from Thursday Later this week, temperatures are expected to reach the upper 40s. An official heat warning has not been issued yet, as it was issued only three days in advance.

At night, temperatures range between 20-25°C most of the time, with slightly cooler temperatures on the coast and around Campo Cartagena, with daytime highs of 32-35°C for much of the week. The weather will be mainly sunny throughout the week with occasional cloudy days, and no rain is expected.

Amet said the dry climate meant that the current risk level for forest fires in much of Murcia's interior was “extreme”.

There's also “suspended dust” in the air, and this Saharan dust could make everything sandy and reddish this Wednesday and Thursday, according to Emmett.

Wind speeds will be “light” with occasional “moderate” so there won't be big gusts to bring a cooling feel to these hot days.
