An FIR has been lodged against the parents of trainee IAS Puja Khedkar for allegedly threatening local farmers.
The parents of IAS trainee Pooja Khedkar, who came into limelight over their controversial demand for cabins and houses, are now on the run from the authorities. Earlier, a video circulated on the Internet showing her mother threatening a farmer with a gun.
An FIR was filed against Khedekar's parents for allegedly threatening local farmers after an old video of her mother surfaced online.
Pune rural police officer Pankaj Deshmukh said the accused were on the run from the authorities and could not be contacted over the phone as they had switched off their mobile phones.
“The accused are on the run and we are trying to contact them but are unable to reach them as the mobile phones are switched off. We are also trying to reach their residence but they are not reachable,” Deshmukh told ANI.
“Several teams, including local crime branch and local police station officials, are looking for them in Pune and nearby places where there are farmhouses and other residences. If found, we will question them and take action accordingly,” he added.
An old video of Manorama Khedkar, mother of IAS trainee officer Puja, has surfaced online just days after her daughter was transferred to Washim from Pune for abuse of power.
A case was registered against Manorama after she was seen waving a pistol at farmers in an old video that went viral. Police are currently trying to find out if Manorama has a license for the weapon
