The 2024 edition of Tomorrowland kicks off this weekend in the Belgian town of Boom, and predictions are that the first part of the much-loved festival will be a mixed bag.
The LIFE-themed 2024 festival will take place from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st July, with a second weekend from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th July.
So far, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute's service has predicted a hot start to the festive season with maximum temperatures reaching 28 degrees Celsius on Friday. The hot weather is expected to continue into Saturday night, with showers expected to break the heat. It will continue to rain on Sunday with a temperature of 23°C, suitable for raincoats and boots. (NMI has not yet released a forecast for Tomorrowland's second weekend.)
bbc weather MeteoGroup's forecast for Boom weekend is more optimistic, with partly cloudy skies expected for Sunday, July 21. However, there is a chance of rain early on Saturday (20th) so punters should be prepared for wet weather.
According to the weather forecast, the second weekend in Tomorrowland should provide a straightforward packing list: three days of warm weather, 21-22°C, mostly sunny with light winds. British Broadcasting Corporation. Of course, the forecast may change as the last weekend of July approaches, but all signs point to a pleasant, dry end to the weekend so far.
Tomorrowland 2024 tickets sold out in less than a day, featuring Armin van Buuren, Amelie Lens, B David Guetta, ANNA, Amber Broos, Keinemusik, Solomun and Four Tet back to back, Swedish House Mafia, Afshin MomadiNeal, Shaquille O' DJ Diesel, horsegiirL, et al. Tomorrowland Academy will also be offering seven young DJs (aged 9 to 17) the opportunity to perform at this year's event.
