DENVER — Temperatures continue to drop and Wednesday will be one of the coolest days of the week.
We'll have a mix of sunshine and clouds, with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing in the early afternoon.
The Interstate 25 corridor and the eastern plains will again be under a slight threat from severe storms Wednesday afternoon. Large hail and wind gusts exceeding 60 mph will be the biggest threats.
Temperatures Wednesday afternoon will be in the mid-80s, about 5 degrees below normal for mid-July. We will see a brief warm-up on Thursday with highs around 90.
So far, it looks like Friday afternoon thunderstorms will continue into the weekend. Prices will be slightly below average on Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the low to mid-80s. Enjoy a break from the summer heat!
