Today's schedule:
Starting Wednesday morning, temperatures will be in the mid-70s but will still be muggy and heavy with traffic. Don’t forget to spray insecticide!
Wednesday weather forecast:
Temperatures in Southeast Texas will drop into the low 90s, but due to the high humidity it will “feel” 105 degrees in some places. We are not under a heat warning, however, please still stay safe and drink plenty of fluids. Showers and storms possible. We gave it a 30% chance.
A cold front will move through the Lone Star State later this week, increasing rain chances starting Thursday and continuing into Saturday.
Rainfall chances will increase rapidly through Thursday and may remain elevated as the front stalls over the area.
Even though this is a cold front, given the small but significant temperature difference – we will be down to the 80s, not the 90s. To the low 90s.
There is no tropical activity in the Gulf, Caribbean Sea or Atlantic Ocean. Saharan dust is severe across much of the tropical Atlantic, making things very quiet.
Another factor keeping the tropics quiet is the huge clouds of Saharan dust, which help suppress the development of tropical waves at this time.
10-day forecast:
Rain chances will increase later this week as the front moves northward. More rainfall means cooler than normal temperatures!
