NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – The First Alert Weather Day has been canceled for today as showers and storms are expected this afternoon.
Currently, temperatures are expected to remain around 80 degrees in most areas this afternoon, with one or two spots expected to reach the 90s.
Considering how dry the weather has been lately, those showers and storms will be very welcome. We don't expect severe weather today, but any thunderstorms could easily bring heavy downpours and frequent lightning. So, carry an umbrella with you and keep an eye on the sky.
A few showers and storms will continue into tonight, with lows dropping into the 70s.
We'll see more dry spells tomorrow, but there will still be showers or storms in places during the day. Tomorrow's high temperatures will remain in the mid-80s, with lower humidity in the afternoon.
Temperatures will remain in the mid-80s Friday with a mix of clouds and sunshine throughout the day.
