MISSOULA — The Miller Peak Fire will continue to spew large amounts of smoke that will then sink into the valley each morning. Air quality levels in and around the main plume range from moderate to unhealthy.
In addition to the high temperatures, a weak system will bring a slight chance (15% to 20%) of scattered thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening. The main concerns here are wind gusts and lightning strikes.
Temperatures will indeed rise again by the end of the week and into the weekend. Highs will run into the upper 90s to upper 100s Wednesday into Monday.
