Our heat, storms, humidity – all gone by Thursday morning. The last few showers will soon pass as dawn breaks in the sky.
Highs will still be in the warm range of the mid to upper 80s, but the drop in humidity this afternoon will be noticeable and welcome.
On Tuesday, during the storm, we saw a microburst in Milford, New Hampshire, and a tornado in Lyme, New Hampshire. Damage to trees and power lines also occurred from western Massachusetts to the Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire.
Notably, on July 10, as the remnants of Beryl moved across New York State, 42 tornado warnings were issued in one day. This is the highest number of tornado warnings ever recorded in the state.
Our quiet time will continue into after the weekend as sunny skies will remain throughout Monday.
Some moisture is possible on Cape Cod and the Keys by Sunday (moisture is always hard to get rid of completely this time of year). While we will all see an increase in humidity later next week, the scorching heat doesn't seem to be making a comeback.
Temperatures will remain in the 80s as the threat of storms returns mid-week.
I wish you a happy and safe weekend!
