LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Over the next few days, the weather begins to warm around Southern California.
An area of high pressure is bringing warm air into the area. While most areas will be dry, there will be significant moisture in deserts and mountains, with showers and thunderstorms possible Thursday.
Los Angeles and Orange counties will see some fog Thursday morning, but temperatures will reach 85 degrees by the afternoon. Temperatures will rise into the 90s over the weekend.
Temperatures will reach 94 degrees in the Valley and Inland Empire areas, climbing into triple digits by the weekend.
At the beaches, morning fog will give way to sunshine and temperatures will reach 75 degrees by the afternoon, with similar conditions for the weekend.
It will be warm in the mountains, with a high of 82 degrees, and a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms.
Highs in desert communities will be around 106, with a 20% chance of thunderstorms Thursday, climbing to 110 by the weekend.
