Localized storms, possible strong winds, possible hail today
Rainfall and thunderstorms. It will come to a standstill. However, once it moves through parts of our area, this will increase our rain chances heading into the weekend. In fact, as we discussed today, Asheville, Hendersonville, Rutherford Sparks, Spartanburg, Gaffney and Union, you all are slightly different shades of green. This is a low-end threat that stronger thunderstorms will develop in your area. Everyone else chose Greenville to return to Toccoa. This just lets you know that thunderstorms are possible today. Not everyone will see them, but some will be on the stronger side. Those who are on the stronger side. The main concerns are 40, 50, maybe 60 mph winds and some isolated hail. As we spend the next few hours here we're going to be dry. Arrived this afternoon. That's when we'll start to see some of that start to develop. check it out. We'll still have some progress tonight at 9:30, 10:11, tomorrow morning. There will be two stray showers tomorrow afternoon and evening. A few more isolated showers are coming. It was the same story on Saturday. So the weather pattern is a little bit unsettled with some of the showers and thunderstorms being more widespread and not ending at 7:00 8:00. Some of these will last into the evening. This also applies to Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. There are heavy spells of rain, but there are dry spells and lulls. Hey, all this extra rain and all these extra clouds are going to lower the temperatures. So keep in mind that the normal high of 91 is actually going to change today. But as we get into Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, the rainfall is going to be below the seasonal average and I think it's going to be heavier and we're going to have some thunderstorms. Friday Saturday. It's not that we won't see those days later in the weekend and early next week, it's just that more of us should get some beneficial rain during those days.
