(CBS Detroit) – The severe storm threat has ended across southern Michigan, but flooded areas remain after we experienced a night of heavy rainfall and severe storms.
Washtenaw, Livingston, Wayne, Macomb and Oakland counties received approximately 1 to 2 inches of rain in the past 24 hours. This added more than an additional inch of heavy rainfall Sunday night.
A flood warning remains in effect for the Huron River near Hamburg. The flood level is 7 feet and is expected to be 7.6 feet after midnight tonight.
Remember to never drive through flooded water. A few more sub-severe showers/storms are expected today as a slow-moving cold front moves through southeastern Michigan. Not everyone experiences rain activity.
Tuesday will be breezy at times, with gusts near 20 mph. Today's highs will top out in the mid 80s. Lows tonight will be in the 60s.
