Currently, Rawat and Haryana Independent Party MLA Gopal Kanda support the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in the state.
The Haryana assembly polls will be held later this year.
If Rawat decides to withdraw his support, it is unlikely to pose any direct threat to Saini's government.
