About 500 customers remained without power Tuesday morning after a severe storm swept through the Tucson area on Sunday, said Tucson Electric Power Co. spokesman Joseph Barrios.
He said crews were working to restore service to remaining customers by Tuesday night. TEP reported that 67 power poles were damaged in Sunday's storm.
The Tucson Mall ice station, located on the southeast corner of the Macy's property, is still in operation today. The cooling center at the Donna Liggins Community Center, 2160 N. 6th Ave., is closed due to the power outage.

TEP set up ice stations to provide ice to those still without power.
If needed, ice can be purchased at Silverbell's Safeway (2140 W. Grant Road) and the Tucson Mall (4500 N. Oracle Road, southeast corner of Macy's).

A major storm hit much of the city Sunday night, and about 5,000 customers in the area were still without power Monday morning, according to Tucson Electric Power Co.
“Our crews worked overnight and we will continue to perform repairs throughout the day,” TEP spokesman Joseph Barrios said in an email.

At least 27,000 customers were without power due to Sunday night's monsoon storm.
A TEP spokesperson said they are still receiving and evaluating outage reports. They said it was difficult to predict when power would be restored.
“We will work to restore service to each location as quickly and safely as possible,” a TEP spokesperson said in a statement.
TEP warns that if you see downed power lines, stay away and call 911.

Monsoon storms caused power outages in southern Arizona on Sunday night.
According to the Tucson Electric Power Outage Map, more than 30,000 customers are without power.

An additional 995 customers are without power near the UA Technology Park.
