KCCI DOT COM WEBSITE. It's a little cooler this morning. You may need some heated floors. This is. Temperatures are indeed dropping in some areas. this morning. Yeah, yeah, mainly the north. The low yesterday was only in the 50s, and we did have 40s in the northern half of the state. Yes I know. Now we will see a warming trend, mainly over the next week. Rain is likely to return this afternoon this evening, resulting in rainfall over the next 24 hours. Satellites and radars move westward. This is what we are looking for. More activity is the ripple. So it's called shortwave. This is just an upper level disturbance that's going to give us a little bit more of a chance of rain as we go into tonight, especially every hour, keeping us dry and keeping us clean through the morning. Once we head in after noon, more clouds will move in, mainly to the northwest and west of I 35. Northwest and west of I 35. Even parts of Carroll could see those showers. From there further south. But once we get into midnight tonight and beyond, by about 8:00, we're going to start to see a chance for more rain to move eastward. So we're going to really wake up and there's a chance across the state to see some of those showers, mostly moderate showers, and as we move into the afternoon there's a chance of thunderstorm activity throughout the morning and it becomes a little bit unsettled and more isolated, But there is still a chance. It's not a complete wipeout of your Saturday plans, but you might want an umbrella or a plan. Once these showers start to appear, stay indoors as the same conditions will continue throughout Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday. But once we get into next week, we'll start to see a trend toward more afternoon rain chances. So if you too need to take care of your lawn today, this is the day to do it. This is the smarter choice. Last. A mostly dry day. Just because we have to focus on certain areas, we won’t be completely eliminated. Not everyone will have a chance of rain over the weekend, but we'll see those chances throughout the rest of the day. Once my graphs stop going around this, we're going to see a lot more temperatures like this this Saturday, and more in the 70s. Rain chances will also increase on Sunday. So please plan for this. Just keep your umbrella nearby now. We'll see more afternoon rain chances Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoon
