minneapolis — We'll end the week with high pressure leaving, giving us a pretty good forecast for Friday in the Twin Cities.
Due to southwesterly winds, our temperatures will rise further, with a projected high of 83 degrees. This will also increase the dew point heading into the weekend. Showers will develop later on Friday, but mainly to the west and north.
Highs this weekend will be in the lower 80s. On Saturday, there is a chance of showers and even a few thundershowers. There's nothing serious in the forecast right now, but some communities may see lightning and heavy downpours. Showers are most likely to occur in the afternoon and evening.
Sunday's system looks to be more focused on the Interstate 94 corridor, so thundershowers are expected in the evening.
The weather will be quite unsettled heading into next week, with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected Monday through Wednesday. There are some signs of warmer and drier weather later this week or next weekend.
