STORMTRACKER 4 Forecast — Increased chances of rain over the weekend, with temperatures set to drop slightly to near average next week.
Morning showers continue in Douglas, Sierra Vista and Marana. These areas should be cleared within the next few hours.
Scattered and scattered storms are possible this afternoon, with scattered rainfall possible later tonight. The main area will again be south and east of Tucson, eventually moving into the foothills.
In the event of a severe storm, the main threats will be small hail, heavy rain and wind gusts up to 50 mph.
Areas that have experienced recent heavy rains are at greater risk of flooding because the ground is already saturated.
The latest models show storm chances will continue to increase today and tomorrow, peaking this Sunday.
Temperature trends will continue to remain 4-7 degrees above average over the next few days, and afternoon maximum temperatures will continue to remain above 100 degrees every afternoon for the next 10 days.
