Shannon Storms Beador is a proud mom.
As her empty-nest era approaches its one-year anniversary, real housewives of orange county The mom gave fans an update on how her eldest daughter Sophie Beador is doing. Shannon previously revealed that the 23-year-old has no plans to live on the West Coast after graduating from Baylor University in May, as she has accepted an exciting job offer on the other side of the country.
“Get ready New York…Sophie is here!” the OC 'Wife posted on Instagram with the caption celebrating Sophie's college graduation.

Fast forward to July 10, just days before Sophie's first day at work, mother and daughter headed to New York.
“Sophie got a job offer in New York,” Shannon says in the film. “We're so proud of her and she starts work next week.”
Shannon was in the city filming the July 11 episode Watch Andy Cohen Live, Immediately following the much-anticipated show right ventricle Season 18 premieres. The Southern California native thought she would use the trip to spend more time with her eldest son and help prepare her for an exciting new chapter.

Shannon shares her and Sophie's night on Broadway
While they were undoubtedly busy with Shannon's press conference and Sophie's big move, the pair took time out to enjoy one of their favorite stage productions.
“Sophie and I can see [Wicked the Musical] every day! Shannon wrote on Instagram Stories on July 12. “She made her first Broadway appearance at age 8 and now she lives here!!! Sophie and I can see [Wicked the Musical] A million times!
Shannon reflects on being an empty nester
In the summer of 2023, Shannon's twin daughters, Stella and Adeline Beador, left home to attend college, becoming an empty nester. The former started her freshman year in France as part of a USC transfer program, while the latter headed to Manhattan to attend Parsons School of Design.
“Officially, I'm an empty nester,” Shannon told BravoTV.com in April. “All the girls were in school and the twins loved going to college. All I kept hearing was: 'Mom! I'm an adult! I'm 19!'
Shannon has a new home in Orange County
Shortly after the twins moved, Shannon decided it was time to downsize. Last summer, she gave up her seven-bedroom, five-bathroom home and moved into a smaller but equally gorgeous abode in Corona del Mar.
“I live in a very small space, but I love it – location, location, location!” she said of the three-bedroom apartment. “Walking distance to restaurants and beach. Great!
