RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Friday starts with partly clear skies, but some additional clouds will move in later this afternoon, leading to mostly cloudy to cloudy conditions for the evening commute. It will be a warm and humid day with highs reaching the mid 80s.
It will be cloudy skies this evening and tonight, with a few showers possible across central Virginia by early Saturday morning. Our overnight lows will fall into the lower 70s.
We'll have a weather system covering the entire area on Saturday that will bring a round of showers in the morning and another round of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. I don't think it would be a total fail, but it wouldn't be pretty to spend a day outside at the pool or something like that. Look for highs in the late 80s.
Skies will be partly sunny on Sunday and it will become very warm and humid again with highs reaching the 80s. Some isolated thunderstorms are possible later in the day.
The typical hot and humid July weather will continue next Monday through Friday, with highs around 90 degrees and a heat index in the mid to upper 90s, possibly reaching 100 degrees at times. There's also a chance of storms in the evening, otherwise we'll see partly clear skies every day.
