    Today's daily numbers

A subjective rating of the day's weather on a scale of 0 to 10.

8/10: Today is a good day to go out for a walk. Comfortable air and just the right warmth.

    Quick forecast

    • today: Mainly bright and breezy. Highs: Mid 80s to mid 90s.
    • tonight: Partly cloudy, later humid. Lows: In the low 70s.
    • tomorrow: There is a chance of rain. Mid-1980s.
    • Sunday: Lower humidity, lower chance of rain? Climax: upper class in the 1980s to lower class in the 1990s.

    Detailed forecast

It may not be perfect today, but it's good enough for mid-July. Enjoy it this weekend, especially before it rains on Saturday. Rain is also possible south of town into Sunday. The rains are welcome, however, as drought conditions persist or even worsen in much of the region.

today is Friday): Average temperatures are in the mid-80s to around 90 degrees. Summer comfort levels are also at their peak today, with the driest and lowest dew points for some time briefly set to occur. There may be some noticeable northeasterly winds, especially in the morning. The weather should be fairly clear, but there may be a chance of haze as Canada's wildfires flare up again. Local air quality should remain moderate or yellow. Trust: medium to high

tonight: Breezes will be blowing from the south and skies will be generally cloudy, but may become cloudy at dawn with a slight chance of showers. Nights look pleasant before the dew point rises back into humid areas late at night. The temperature dropped to around 70 degrees.

Tomorrow (Saturday): The chance of rain slowly increases as the day progresses. Areas south of town are likely to receive the heaviest rainfall, closer to the disturbance and moisture plume. Morning showers may turn into periodic rain and storms in the afternoon and around sunset. While the dew point target was near the humid 70-degree mark, the temperature index stayed below the 90-degree mark with clouds and rain-cooled temperatures at just 85 degrees.

Tomorrow evening: Showers and storms may continue into the night, but their intensity and coverage will decrease during the evening. Temperatures drop to sticky dew points in the upper 60s to lower 70s, with scattered fog possible after midnight. Reliability: Medium

Sunday: It's possible that the kind of fixed front we have to the south will drop a little further, bringing some improvements to outdoor plans. Cloud cover, humidity and the chance of rain are likely to be lowest during the afternoon hours. However, there is still a chance of showers or storms, especially to the south of town closer to the front line. Afternoon sunshine may push temperatures into the upper 80s to lower 90s. Reliability: Medium

    Looking to the future

Sunday night: A few showers and storms are possible, possibly like after midnight. Overall, cloud cover is likely to increase, as will humidity. The temperature dropped to around 70 degrees, which is consistent with the dew point reading for most of us. Scattered fog appears again with relative humidity approaching 100%. Trust: low-medium

Humid with periodic showers and storms Monday and Tuesday. A few storms may even become severe. Temperatures continue to top out in a familiar range: mid-80s to low 90s. Currently, the best chances for clouds and rain are Monday night into Tuesday, but that could change as we get closer. Reliability: Medium
