TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) – The monsoon will remain active through the weekend with thunderstorms rolling in from the White Mountains and Mogollon Rim.
This pattern, often called an “edge fire,” typically produces thunderstorms moving toward the southwest.
Thunderstorms are typically stronger during this pattern, capable of bringing damaging outflow winds and some heavy rain.
Although there is a chance of rain, high temperatures will continue in the lower elevations of southern Arizona, with highs between 104° and 107°.
