LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Skies will remain partly cloudy Saturday night with temperatures dropping into the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.
Sunday will be humid and cloudy, with highs reaching 80 degrees. Scattered showers and storms will develop along the frontal boundary mainly across Kentucky in the afternoon. Don’t cancel your outdoor plans, but keep an eye on the skies and radar!
Shower coverage is expected to increase Sunday night. This could set the stage for a wet Monday morning commute. A few downpours are possible. Lows in the 60s to near 70s.
Widespread showers and a few storms are expected Monday morning, then reports will become more scattered by the afternoon. Temperatures will stay around 80 degrees most of the week due to cloud cover and rainfall.
Shower and storm coverage may drop slightly by later this week, but at least some storms will persist. Fortunately, with this setup, the risk of widespread severe weather is low. Much of the WAVE country will see up to an inch of rain next week, but repeated heavy rains in the same areas could lead to flash flooding.
