Forecast details:
Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
We'll start Sunday on a relatively quiet note with morning lows in the mid-70s. Later, temperatures will rebound to the mid/upper 90s in the afternoon as scattered rain develops. We're calling a 30%-40% chance of showers and storms in parts of the area after 2 p.m., with higher chances north of Highway 90.
With more active weather in Texas, there will be a greater chance of rain next week. High pressure moves westward, causing disturbances and fronts to move into the Lone Star State, bringing scattered rain every day through Monday. It won't be consistent rain all day, every day, but those chances will continue through at least Thursday and possibly into next weekend.
Exact rainfall totals will need to be fine-tuned over the next few days, but for now, it looks like at least two inches of rain is possible when the dust settles. We will keep you informed of any adjustments!
Beyond that, increasing clouds and rain-cooled air are expected to keep high temperatures in the 80s as early as Tuesday. Welcome to the change at the end of July!
There will be more updates in the coming days. Have a great night! ~Mia
