Severe storms are rolling through parts of Chicago on Sunday.
ABC7 Chicago meteorologists Tracy Butler and Jaisol Martinez say the risk for severe storms in the Chicago area is a Category 2 out of 5, primarily Sunday night. The main threats are high winds and heavy rain, which may cause flooding.

A severe thunderstorm warning The ban is in effect until 1:45 a.m. Monday in Grundy, Kankakee, Livingston and Will counties in Illinois.

Tornado warnings were previously issued for Cook, Kane and DeKalb counties in Illinois, but have now expired. Tornado warnings have also expired for LaSalle and Livingston counties.
A flash flood warning The measure is in effect for Cook, DuPage and Will counties until 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Chicago's weather forecast for Sunday calls for severe storms. A tornado warning was issued for Cook, Kane and DeKalb counties, but the warning has expired.
A flood warning The measure is in effect in Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Lake (IL), Ogle, Lee, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage and LaSalle counties until 4 a.m. Monday.
ComEd said 15,000 customers in the Chicago area were without power as of 11 p.m. Sunday.
A string of thunderstorms moved through the Joliet area around 9 a.m. Sunday and moved toward northwest Indiana, prompting severe thunderstorm warnings for some southern suburban counties.
These storms bring rainfall and wind gusts up to 70 mph. Pea-sized hail was also reported.
Chicago Weather is forecasting severe storms in parts of the region. The heat index is approaching 100 degrees.
Butler and Martinez said conditions were drying out late Sunday morning, but more storms were developing northwest of the Chicago area and moving in between 7 and 10 p.m. Sunday night. They are expected to stay between midnight and 2am on Monday.
These storms are coming, and the weather in Chicago remains hot and muggy, with a heat index approaching 100 degrees.
Monday will be the hottest and most uncomfortable day in a series of warm and humid days. High temperatures are expected to be in the mid-90s, with the heat index possibly reaching 105 degrees.
Storms are also possible Monday afternoon, potentially bringing damaging winds and flooding threats. The severe weather risk level for the Chicago area is level 3 out of 5 on Monday.
