Tonight's Weather: Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Denver Metro Area
The National Weather Service has issued severe thunderstorm conditions for the Denver metro area, including:
- Denver
- westminster
- Thornton
- bloomfield
- brighton
- hudson
- lafayette
- Denver International Airport
- Other surrounding areas
Warnings include quarter-sized hail and winds of up to 60 mph.
There will be showers and a few thunderstorms Saturday night. Low temperatures will drop into the upper 50s.
Tomorrow's weather: cool with rain
More rain and thunderstorms are expected on Sunday. Temperatures will be cooler, reaching only the mid-70s, which is nearly 15 degrees below normal for this time of year.
Looking Ahead: Cooler weather to start the work week, then warmer and drier
Monday is expected to be cooler, with highs in the low 80s, with more showers and thunderstorms possible in the afternoon.
Sunshine is starting to return to the forecast on Tuesday. A warming trend will follow. Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid 80s, lows on Wednesday will be in the mid 90s, and Thursday and Friday will be in the mid 90s.
