Two women from Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh were nearly buried alive on Sunday after mobs hurled gravel from a garbage truck with the intention of killing them. The incident took place due to a land dispute and the police have ruled out the possibility of caste discrimination from the perspective of the case.
Speaking about the incident, ADG Law and Order Shri Jaideep Prasad said, “Rubbles were dumped during a family land dispute at Hinota Kothar village in Rewa district on Saturday. In the case of two women, Asha Pandey and Mamta Pandey, they belonged to the Pandey family and no Dalit woman or man was involved.
