CONNECTICUT – The weather will be largely unsettled this week, with showers and storms possible Monday night into Thursday night.

Meteorologists say that doesn't mean it will rain during this time, but downpours are possible. As of now, dry and sunny conditions are expected from Friday to Sunday.

“Tonight, low pressure is moving south of Long Island. This will help to further increase cloud cover and possibly some rain. Showers may continue until sunrise Tuesday!” said a WFSB 3 TV meteorologist.

“Unstable conditions continue from Tuesday into Friday, with multiple low pressure waves running through… There is a chance of rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall, with a small risk of excessive rainfall midweek. We have A Heavy Rainfall First Alert has been issued for Wednesday through Thursday as high temperatures this week will be near or below average, in the mid-80s, given the cloudy, wet conditions, which could lead to poor drainage unless there are showers. The transition to dry weather will begin and the dew points will drop, so it will feel much better by the weekend!

“Right now, the last weekend of the month is looking dry, but hot and muggy. Temperatures will hit the mid-80s on Saturday with sunny skies, and temperatures in inland towns could hit the 90s again on Sunday!” WFSB 3 TV said the meteorologist. (Read/Watch more on WFSB 3 TV).
