WEST MONROE, LA — (July 22, 2024) Unstable conditions will result in unseasonably cool temperatures and occasional rainfall for much of this week. Some storms may produce periods of heavy rainfall through midweek.
The trough of low pressure continues to bring a series of high-level disturbances to the region. At the surface, a weak stationary front continues to be the focus of afternoon/evening showers and storms. Deeper moisture will lead to some slow-moving storms that could produce heavy rainfall and localized street flooding.
Later this week, high pressure aloft will end the unsettled weather pattern… allowing the region to return to seasonally normal temperatures. Daytime highs will return to the low 90s early next week.
