Meteorologist April Loveland's first warning forecast
Today we are expecting temperatures to reach the low 80s with showers and storms. A flood warning is in effect. Flooding from excessive rainfall remains possible today. Please be aware of any weather warnings and avoid any flooded areas.
Tuesday will bring some hot weather, with highs reaching the upper 80s. The heat index will feel close to 100, so it's going to be a hot day. We have a 60% chance of thunderstorms, so keep an eye on the sky if you're going out.
The hot trend continued on Wednesday, with the high temperature reaching 88 degrees and the heat index approaching 100.
On Thursday, the high temperature will reach 86 degrees, with a 70% chance of scattered storms. It might be a good idea to carry an umbrella with you.
Friday will be slightly cooler, with a high of 84 degrees and a 60% chance of scattered storms. The wet weather pattern continues, so plan accordingly.
The weather will ease on Saturday, with a 30% chance of scattered storms and a high of 84 degrees. The chance of rain is lower, but showers are still possible.
Sunday ends the week with partly cloudy skies and a high of 85 degrees. There's only a 20% chance of rain, so this looks like the perfect day for outdoor activities!
