Forecast details:
Hope you had a great weekend!
High pressure will move westward over the next few days, allowing for an atypical active weather pattern during the last week of July.
The chance of daily scattered rainfall will return to expected levels starting Monday afternoon and evening. Intermittent rain is likely to continue through at least Thursday, with some scattered rain likely to continue into next weekend. Heavy rain, lightning, thunder, and perhaps gusty winds will be the main things to monitor for these rain chances.
In terms of total rainfall, most areas will still see at least 1 inch of rain, with 2 to 4 inches definitely possible over the next seven days. Your house won't have constant rain all day, every day, but for those who do experience heavier downpours, there may be some minor flooding that needs to be monitored from time to time, especially at those common trouble spots/drainage Bad areas.
Are there any benefits to this optimistic rainfall outlook? Cooler temperatures! Increasing clouds and rain-cooled air could keep temperatures in the upper 80s starting Tuesday. Can’t complain at the end of July!
We'll let you know about any adjustments in the coming days, but plan to keep your umbrellas nearby this week!
Have a good night. ~Mia
