Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and LoP Rahul Gandhi addressed the NEET debate in the Lok Sabha.
After Rahul Gandhi questioned the country's examination system in the Lok Sabha, the education minister issued a strong rebuttal.
On the first day of the monsoon parliamentary session, the opposition parties faced off with the government over the NEET UG paper leak issue. Rahul Gandhi, MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has questioned the government's approach to solving problems with the country's examination system.
“Since this is a systemic problem, what exactly are you doing to solve this problem?” Rahul Gandhi asked.
During Question Hour in the Lok Sabha, Gandhi stressed that the issue went beyond the scope of NEET and pointed out systemic issues in the entire examination system.
Gandhi claimed that millions of aspirants believe that the country's examination system is rigged, a view shared by the opposition.

“Millions of people believe that if you have money, you can buy India's exam system, and the opposition feels the same,” Rahul Gandhi said.
“The minister blames everyone except himself,” Gandhi said, targeting Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. “I don't even think he understands the fundamentals of what is happening here,” the Congress leader added.
Responding to Gandhi's doubts and accusations about the country's examination system, the Education Minister said, “Lies do not become truth just by shouting. The fact that the leader of the Opposition said that the country's examination system is rubbish is highly condemnable.”

Pradhan claimed that there was no evidence of any leakage of question papers in the past seven years and said the NTA had successfully conducted more than 240 exams.
When the opposition tried to corner the government on the issue of question paper leaks, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also stepped in and said it was not right to raise questions on all exams and members should hold discussions to come up with a better exam system.
