LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Scattered showers and storms will continue to affect the Southern Plains through Sunday night.
The main danger associated with these showers is excess rainfall from slow-moving storms.
Lows tonight will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s and it will remain cloudy for everyone, rain or not.
The best rain chances overnight will be concentrated near the Texas-New Mexico line. There is a chance of lingering showers Monday morning.
Monday will be cooler, with afternoon highs in the 70s and lows in the 80s. Showers and thunderstorms may return Monday afternoon, but the chance of rain will continue to decrease by evening.
The work week will start with cooler temperatures, but by the end of the week, temperatures will reach 90 degrees across the region. Rain chances will also continue to decrease this week.
