This past weekend was a nice change of pace compared to the extremely hot weekends we had previously experienced. Temperatures will reach the mid-70s on Saturday due to lots of clouds and rain. There will be more sunshine on Sunday and the temperature will rise slightly.
We expect temperatures to be cooler than average for late July in another day or so. Some heavy fog may return Monday morning, but the heaviest fog is expected to primarily affect areas east of the Missouri River.
Monday will be a similar day with a mix of clouds and sunshine compared to Sunday. Highs will also end up similar in the low to mid 80s.
As the weather warms up, some localized storms will appear on the radar again. These will disappear again in the evening at sunset. The potential for severe weather from these types of thunderstorms is quite low and we hope to reverse the trend towards calmer conditions in the future.
There is less chance of another storm on Tuesday, and the remainder of the week will remain warm and dry.
In fact, over the next few days, most models are just suggesting that a few percent of measurable rainfall is possible if we see a lot of rain.
We will continue to gradually warm up throughout the week – the upcoming weekend and earlier Next Temperatures are expected to peak this week on the hottest days.
