Three people have been arrested after a truck hurled garbage at two women during a protest in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, leaving them half buried, a police official said on Monday.
The video of the incident, which took place in Zhinota Chorot village under the jurisdiction of Mangawa police station, went viral on social media on Saturday. In the video, two women can be seen sitting on the back of a truck that is unloading murum (loose red soil used for construction activities) and partially burying them before others come to their rescue.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Vivek Lal said the two women, identified as Mamta Pandey and Asha Pandey, were protesting against the construction of the road.
Asha Pandey said the incident was the fallout of a dispute between her and her relative Gokaran Pandey over a jointly owned piece of land.
Pandey said she and her sister-in-law were protesting against the construction of a road on the disputed land.
The dump truck has been impounded, police said.
