Today is the wettest day of the week in the entire midstate. Showers are expected this afternoon, tapering off early tonight. There will be clouds and rain at times today, and temperatures will stay in the mid-70s in most areas.
Tonight, we'll only have isolated showers, so the weather will be more conducive to outdoor activities. The weather will remain mild and muggy, with temperatures slowly dropping into the 70s.
The highest rainfall chances will move southeast over southern middle Tennessee tomorrow and Thursday. Still, there will be showers and storms elsewhere in the Midlands during the afternoon and evening.
A few more showers and storms are possible on Friday.

This weekend will bring more sunshine, warmer weather and more and sometimes absent showers and thunderstorms. The probability of rainfall in these two days is 30-40%, with rainfall concentrated at noon and later.
