Multiple showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Baltimore area this week, as well as isolated flash flooding events. The National Weather Service is forecasting rounds of slow-moving thunderstorms Thursday.
Tuesday will be sunny with a high of around 92 degrees. The weather will become partly cloudy in the evening, with a low around 73 degrees, and a 70 percent chance of precipitation of up to a quarter of an inch is expected. But during thunderstorms, numbers can be higher.
The chance of precipitation will drop to 40% Wednesday morning, with showers and thunderstorms possible. After 2 p.m., it will be mostly cloudy during the day, with a high of 87 degrees, and the chance of rain increases to 70 percent before falling to 60 percent overnight. The lowest temperature was 74 degrees.
There is a slight chance of showers before 2pm on Thursday, when the chance increases to 70%. Thursday afternoon the high will be 87 degrees and the low will be 70 degrees, with a 60 percent chance of showers overnight.
Heading into the weekend, showers will subside as temperatures climb back into the 90s. High temperatures are expected to be in the upper 80s on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will top the 90s on Sunday.
