Thunderstorms will continue through the remainder of the week. High pressure offshore combined with a cold front moving into the Carolinas will continue to push tropical moisture into the region. The cold front has stopped today and we will remain hot and humid with temperatures reaching triple digits and the possibility of afternoon storms.
Another cold front will move into the Carolinas on Thursday, which will be the day with the highest chance of rain, including the possibility of heavy rain. The front will also remain in the area into Saturday morning, keeping the chance for showers alive. The front will push southward Saturday night, allowing dry air to move in. Temperatures will remain below average through the weekend and into next week.
