Thunderstorms in central Indiana today, potentially severe

Some thunderstorms are possible across the northern half of central Indiana this afternoon, with the potential for damaging winds, hail and localized flooding, according to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

NWS Indianapolis has issued a seven-day hazardous weather outlook, the first of which is today and tonight.

“Scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon into tonight, some of which may be strong and possibly severe,” the hazardous weather outlook said. “Localized flooding and isolated damaging wind gusts are the main threats, but minor severity cannot be ruled out. hail.”
