    Rain fell in parts of Delhi, while mercury temperature stabilized at 36.2 degrees Celsius

    At 8:30 am, Delhi's main weather station Safdarjung recorded 19.1 mm of rainfall in three hours

    According to the Meteorological Department, parts of Delhi experienced rainfall on Thursday and the maximum temperature was 36.2 degrees Celsius, slightly above seasonal normal.

    Early morning rain caused flooding and heavy traffic in many areas.

    At 8:30 am, Delhi's main weather station Safdarjung recorded 19.1 mm of rainfall in three hours. Lodi Road and Pusa weather stations recorded rainfall of 25.7 mm and 10 mm respectively during the same period.

    According to the meteorological department, the humidity was recorded at 67% at 5:30 pm.

    Images from different parts of the city showed flooded roads. The Rampura underpass in northwest Delhi's Keshavpuram area was submerged in water and many children were bathing in it.

    The Delhi Municipal Corporation received at least 13 complaints of waterlogging and eight incidents of uprooting of trees from different locations.

    The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a “yellow” alert for the city till Saturday, with rains expected to continue lashing the capital till July 28.

    According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was in the 'moderate' category with a reading of 109 at 4 pm.

    An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered “good”, 51 and 100 is considered “satisfactory”, 101 and 200 is “moderate”, 201 and 300 is “poor”, and 301 and 400 is “very poor” , 401 and 500 are “serious”.
