    Denver weather: Scattered storms, less smoke Friday

    DENVER (KDVR) — Additional clouds and scattered afternoon showers Friday will help clear the remainder of recent wildfire smoke from the Denver forecast.

    Today's weather: Scattered storms

    Temperatures on Friday will be slightly cooler, but still slightly above average, in the low 90s.

    Cloudy conditions for much of the day, with a chance of showers and storms in the mid to late afternoon.

    Tonight's weather: Slowly sunny

    Excess clouds from the day will gradually dissipate Friday night as winds remain light. Overnight lows will drop into the lower 60s, making for a more seasonal and refreshing start to Saturday.

    Looking Ahead: Hot and Dry Stretching

    Saturday kicks off the weekend with sunny weather, with temperatures in the low 90s and a small chance of afternoon storms.

    Sunday will be warm, with temperatures in the mid-90s and sunny skies.

    Monday will start next week with sunny skies and cloudy skies, with highs reaching over 90 degrees.

    Tuesday and Wednesday are the hottest days of the week, with temperatures in the high 90s and approaching triple digits. The Pinpoint Weather team will continue to monitor these temperatures in case Denver reaches triple digits.

    The weather returned to sunny midweek and temperatures began to slowly drop over the weekend.
