Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia congratulates India Post for producing a stamp that captures a crucial moment in the country's history
The Postal Department has issued a commemorative stamp in Kargil Deras in Ladakh to commemorate the 20th birth anniversary of Kargil Vijay Dewas, an official statement said on Friday.
The statement said the special issue celebrates the 25th anniversary of India's monumental victory in the Kargil War and pays tribute to the unparalleled bravery, determination and sacrifice of our armed forces.

Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said: “This stamp not only commemorates the valor of our troops but is also a powerful reminder of their heroism and national pride.”
The minister congratulated India Post for producing a stamp that captures a crucial moment in the country's history.
“I also encourage all citizens to purchase this stamp not only as a collectible but as a symbol of our enduring gratitude and respect for those who defend our country,” Scindia said.
25 years ago today, the Indian Armed Forces, with sheer courage and perseverance, ousted the Pakistani invaders from the icy heights of Ladakh's Dras, Kargil and Patalik districts in Operation Vijay.
