Sunday night: The sky is cloudy. Low: 70.
After a great weekend with plenty of sunshine and lower humidity across the region, we're continuing the trend of great weather as we look ahead to the weekend.
With high pressure firmly controlling the forecast, we'll be keeping sunshine in the forecast along with lower humidity values. The weather is starting to cool off a bit and by Saturday afternoon high temperatures will be in the 80s with most people in the 50s and lower 60s.
Skies are expected to be mostly clear tonight tonight and will continue to be comfortable. Looking ahead to Sunday morning, overnight lows will fall into the mid-60s.
The sunshine will continue into Sunday's weekend, but as the southerly winds begin to blow, we'll be working through the afternoon bringing more humidity. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s to near 90 by Sunday afternoon, so it will feel more like summer by the end of the weekend on Sunday.
Looking ahead to the first half of next week, our thunderstorm chances will return to forecast values. We'll see some sunshine throughout the day on Monday, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. We then move on to looking ahead to storm chances for Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures will reach around 80 degrees on three days in the first half of next week.
As of now, we have a pause in thunderstorm activity until Thursday, and I also think there is a small chance of showers heading into the weekend on Friday. There won't be much difference in temperatures, with high temperatures staying in the mid-80s from Thursday into next Friday.
