British stone. LOUIS — A few showers are developing across our southwestern counties, primarily from Dent eastward to Madison County. This weekend will bring rounds of showers and non-severe storms as high-level waves move across the region. Mostly cloudy with a high around 80 degrees this afternoon.
These showers and storms will develop and intensify northward this afternoon and continue at least into the evening, especially along and south of the I-70 corridor. Locally heavy rain is a major problem in storm formation.
Much of this activity will diminish by sunset, but showers are expected to be possible overnight, especially east of the river. Showers and storms may return Sunday afternoon. High temperatures will return next week, with highs climbing into the 90s and heat index readings reaching 105.
