Storms will continue into Wednesday night with isolated wind gusts and brief periods of downpours. What's more, lightning can still start new fires. The red flag warning is in effect until midnight tonight.
Idaho Power did conduct planned outages to minimize the chance of new fires caused by downed power lines.
Our forecast will call for an overnight clearing with some smoke in the valley in the morning, with the smoke increasing Thursday night. High temperatures in the valley are likely to remain in the upper 90s.
Friday will be a nice day in the area, with sunshine in the valley and temperatures in the mid-90s. This “nice” weather will continue through the weekend, with valley temperatures remaining in the mid-90s. Starting Friday morning, morning temperatures will be cooler in the mid-60s.
