NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Rain continues to end in most areas Friday night. Things will remain calm tonight before showers and storms begin to return on Saturday. We will see showers and storms pop up as temperatures reach the mid to upper 80s.
The main threat over the weekend will be heavy rain. Storms can produce torrential downpours that, if not moving significantly, can cause isolated streets to flood. Isolated strong gusts are also possible.
By Sunday, rain will become more scattered over the area as we start to see high pressure return.
