“NCRTC has launched an exciting update to the ‘RRTS Connect’ app to make travel on Namo Bharat trains smoother and more convenient. The app, available on Google Play and Apple Store, now includes a host of new features besides ticket booking features to ensure passengers enjoy a more comfortable journey on the country's first RRTS corridor.
Passengers can book their journey tickets under the 'Plan Your Journey' option on the RRTS Connect app and accept payments through UPI, debit or credit card and net banking. Users can also access their transaction history to view details about their previous journeys and download invoices.
The 'Federal Bus Services' feature of the app provides comprehensive information on bus stops near the start of the journey and the nearest available RRTS stations, including bus arrival and departure times, for better travel planning.
“Furthermore, RRTS passengers can easily book rides by booking bikes, cars and taxis at stations through links on the Rapido app. These features effectively address the critical need for last-mile connectivity.
Station facility options are a “real game-changer”, providing a wide range of information to enhance the travel experience.
It displays the name and location of the nearest RRTS station, as well as major nearby landmarks. Also included are details on drinking water and toilet availability, entrance and exit gate status and which gates are open to passengers.
The app provides platform information, train directions and elevator and escalator operating status. Additionally, it provides parking information showing the number of two-wheeler and four-wheeler parking spaces available. The app also includes complete station layout designs at platform and concourse levels, making navigation and planning easy.
In addition, the contact number of the station control room is also provided in the app. Passengers can contact the control room for assistance or send a WhatsApp message for assistance or advice. The “RRTS Connect” app also provides information on major attractions near RRTS corridor stations and includes a system map for passengers to understand all stations on the corridor.
The Lost and Found feature on the app lists all recovered items, along with the date, time and station where they were found, and includes recovery procedures. The “Complaint Report” field allows passengers to register complaints and suggestions.
