Scattered storms are expected this weekend as moisture persists across the region.
Storm coverage today will be in the 50-60% range, with the storm currently to our south moving into the area in the late morning and early afternoon. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 80s each afternoon as storm coverage decreases today and tomorrow.
The chance of storms will continue to decrease on Monday, with more sunshine expected. This will bring afternoon temperatures back to the low 90s.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s Tuesday through Friday, with a chance of rain around 20 percent. This will ultimately give us a drier weather pattern as high pressure builds overhead. The high pressure causes the air to sink and become more stable, limiting the storm's reach.
tropical
Tropical waves are being monitored in the high seas of the Atlantic Ocean. The National Hurricane Center currently considers the chance of development to be “low” as it moves west toward the Caribbean Islands.
