4 warning weather – Going to the beach, festival or park? The weather is expected to be pleasant for much of the weekend.
A great Friday will end with sunny skies. Overnight low temperatures will be around 60 degrees in Detroit, Dearborn, Livonia, Warren and Monroe. Lows will drop into the 50s in Ann Arbor, Howell, Lapeer, Sandusky and Port Huron.
Saturday
A stunning Saturday will keep the sun shining in southeastern Michigan as a high pressure system drifts across the Great Lakes. Whether you plan to head to the Michigan Summer Beer Festival at Ypsilanti Riverfront Park, Sterlingfest in Sterling Heights, or Pride Royal Oak, the weather will be pleasant. Temperatures will become warmer and more seasonal, with highs in the low 80s. Southeast winds are expected around 5 mph.
Saturday night will be mostly sunny, with lows dropping into the lower 60s.
Sunday
The high pressure system causing clear skies will leave our area on Sunday. The day will start with mostly clear skies, but cloud cover will increase during the day. Highs will reach the mid-80s and humidity will rise high enough to be noticeable.
Skies will be mostly cloudy Sunday night. Showers may occur during the night. Lowest temperatures will only drop into the upper 60s, around 70 degrees.
on Monday
There will be a better chance of a few showers Monday morning. Showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the day as temperatures rise into the 80s. Humidity can rise sharply, making people feel stuffy. Lows will be in the 60s.
Tuesday and Wednesday
Showers and thunderstorms will return Tuesday afternoon as the cold front approaches. A few showers will remain in the area early Wednesday. Highs on both days will be in the upper 80s and lows will be in the 60s to 70s.
Thursday and Friday
Thursday and Friday in early August were hot, sunny and cloudy. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
August Outlook
Temperatures will be above normal in August, according to the Climate Prediction Center.
